Knowledge Exchange (KE) Awards 2012
The Faculty Knowledge Exchange (KE) Awards were introduced in 2011 in order to recognize each Faculty's outstanding KE accomplishment that has made demonstrable economic, social or cultural impacts to benefit the community, business/industry, or partner organizations. Following the successful launch of the Faculty KE Awards, the KE Award (Non-Faculty Unit) has been introduced this year with the same objective for the independent centres, institutes and units of the University.
The following colleagues have won the Faculty KE Awards of their respective Faculties in 2012:

(Note: The Ad Hoc Faculty KE Award Selection Committee of the Faculty of Arts recommended that the Award this year be shared equally between the two nominees. According to the guidelines, no more than one Award will be made by each participating Faculty. Exceptional approval has been given by the KE Executive Group for this special case, without setting a precedent.)

Individual faculties have the flexibility to decide whether to conduct a Faculty KE Award exercise in a particular year, taking into account the faculty's KE developments. In this connection, the Medical Faculty has decided to conduct the KE Award exercise on a biennial basis.
