Abstract:
In recent years, many new technologies such as mobile apps, QR Code, location base service and 3D TV are introduced. These new technologies are useful for the process of knowledge exchange. In this talk, Dr. Fok will share a few examples on how to apply these new tools to facilitate the knowledge exchange in the Faculty of Engineering. He will introduce the newly developed KE Internet Portal and the KE Mobile iPhone Apps, and demonstrate how to embed information in a QR code for effective information sharing. He will also share his experience of using the Interactive Class System for knowledge exchange in public seminars and how the 3D TV conversion technology developed in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering was applied for the promotion of the U-Vision on-line platform.
