Presentation

Abstract:

Since 2010/11, Knowledge Exchange (KE) funding, which comes from a yearly earmarked grant of the University Grants Committee, has been used to support projects that have the potential to create impacts on the non-academic sectors of society. Proposed impact projects may be technology-based or non-technology-related. The maximum bid for each project is HK$100,000.

In this informal session Professor John Bacon-Shone will talk about the general criteria for assessment of impact project proposals, the importance of external partners, and those proposals or ideas that are outside the scope of the funding scheme. Colleagues interested to apply for impact project funding under the KE Funding Exercise 2014/15 are invited to attend and will have ample opportunity to ask questions.
