Abstract:
In this talk the speaker will discuss his experience as the Founder and CEO of an EdTech start up company in Australia. PALLAS ADVANCED LEARNING SYSTEMS PTY LTD was formed in 2014 to bring cutting edge learning and teaching approaches to schools and universities. PALLAS has an exclusive licensing agreement with the University of Sydney for IP based on advanced technology and learning projects funded in part by the Australian Research Council. Now a client with one of the largest incubators in the country, ATP Innovation, PALLAS is in its initial stage of raising capital and demonstrating traction in local schools for its cloud-based virtual reality and computer modelling systems for learning challenging science concepts in secondary schools and universities. He will share lessons being learned as a Professor involved with basic cognitive and learning sciences research who is now experiencing the world of start up tech companies.
