Information Session on RAISe+ Scheme
The Technology Transfer Office held a RAISe+ Information Session on 6 Feb 2024. The purpose of the session was to assist HKU Faculty members in applying for the RAISe+ (The Research, Academic and Industry Sectors One-plus) scheme and address any queries they may have.
The Information Session facilitates HKU faculty members better understand the RAISe+ Scheme, including the eligibility, submission of applications, funding amount, matching ratio, funding scope, and vetting process.

China Mobile Engagement Day
On 7 Feb 2024, a fruitful research collaboration took place with esteemed experts from China Mobile Research Institute and the Faculty of Engineering. The participants included Prof. Kaibin Huang, Prof. Chuan Wu, Prof. Peng Lu, and Prof. Chao Huang. The discussions covered a wide range of topics including 5G/6G, industry models, humanoid robots, Web 3.0, and internet security.

Entrepreneurship Sharing Session (Nanshan, Shenzhen)
Professor Peng Gong, Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Development), spearheaded the Entrepreneurship Sharing Session for HKU, organised in Nanshan district, Shenzhen (深圳市南山區 – 香港大學校企交流會) on 24 Jan 2024, during which the Technology Transfer Office presented the achievements of technology transfer. Professors were invited to engage in sharing sessions and Q&A discussions with industry representatives from various sectors in the Shenzhen Nanshan district. These sectors included Bio Medical, AI, Communication Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain Services, and Medical Robotics.

Entrepreneurial Top Talent Meetup
On 23 Feb 2024, the networking event "Entrepreneurial Top Talent Meetup" jointly organised by HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Core, Hong Kong Top Talent Services Association, and Hong Kong X-Tech Startup Platform was a success.
The event is attended by over 140 guests and professionals in the field, including Mr. Hailong Shang, Chairman of Hong Kong Top Talent Services Association and Hong Kong Legislative Council member; Prof. Anderson Shum, Associate Vice-President (Research and Innovation) at HKU, Director of the Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Centre; and Prof. Guanhua Chen, Chair Professor in the Department of Chemistry at HKU, Managing Director of the Hong Kong Quantum AI Lab, and Co-founder of the Hong Kong X-Tech Startup Platform as VIP guests.
The event brought together a distinguished group of top talents and was a platform filled with excitement and collaboration opportunities. The event also featured a matchmaking activity that showcased academic members' projects, roadshows and high-talent introductions, specifically focusing on the fields of AI and biomedicine. The event concluded on a successful note, fostering a sense of connectedness among the participants and paving the way for more interdisciplinary collaborations.
